G David Schwartz
two poems
Stand Naked in the
Shower
Standing naked in the shower
Gives a lot of power
To everyone who sees
Me wake up or touch my knees
If they see me anything
Your telephone will ring
And it will be me calling
If I don't be falling
It’s just me standing where
I cannot reach my underwear
And I will be hoping that you
Will be able to get me through
Cause I cannot even sit right down
Without a towel or something around
So until you come nearer
I will be standing here or
I shall be laying back
Soaking up my naked back
If My Name Was Rodger
If my name was Rodger
I would want to change it to
Albert, Laurence or Alan
I don't think wouldn’t you?
But if my name was David
Or even maybe Dave
I would change it not at all
I’d just keep it the same
But if me name was Marcum
Or maybe even Harold
I would think I’d rather it be
Lonnie, Frank or Johnnie
