The bird is staring incessantly
at the feather fallen off his body.
He is unable to go with it,
and is unable to go without it.
Flies away in dilemma,
and flies back.
Carries the feather in the beak at length
and reaches the nest.
Loses hold of the feather.
One more feather falls off the wing.
Growing aware of one feather,
the other falls off.
Trying to keep the feather safe,
Labouring to treasure it,
his jest for feather wears off.
To be oblivious of himself,
leaves behind the feathers
and flies away into wilderness.
Flies off into wilderness.
