Oscars for Shadows

Serious lives pass-by, mostly unnoticed,
occasionally, there may be a soiree
on the terrace of ambitions,
friends and family
will applaud and cheer, feed the ego,
for a few irresistible moments,
but, on the whole,
a life will sail past, furbished in hush,
nobody will notice its golden interior,
illuminated in elegant ingenious creativity,
time expires in modest silence,
a few vivid shadows may
be vocalized
in lament,
as the picture book pages turn.
