                                   REVIEWED BY RA. JANAKIRAMAN

Having made the way of living very complicated And competitive, caught in the prison of hectic daily routine and a Mode of relaxation that keeps people away from Nature most of today’s Generation rarely has the time to think about either God, the unknown or Nature, the known. I think I should thank God that Mr. N. Karthikeyan Osho, a young man in his early thirties thinks and writes about both God and nature in an admirable way.

Seeing God in Nature by identifying one’s Self with Nature is generally known as mysticism. In Mr. Osho’s poems readers Will be thrilled by this mysticism. Like many saints of the past Mr Osho Sees god in everything he sees. The message of these poems in brief is “god is Omnipresent” ie; God is present every where and in everything.

To Mr. Osho the very purpose of words is to adore The divine-

“Let the words come from the heart,
Where pure thoughts above rest;
And adore to lore the divine…….”
                      -PRAYER OF THE HEART

In IMMORTAL MOTHER he says what he spells and chants are her immoral words.

“Cosmic magic thy play, I spell;
CHANT THINE IMMORTAL WORD..”

ACCORD WITH ACCOLADE is a beautiful poem in content and style.

“Rare when dew drops,
Rest on those pious petals
Calling those clamour, glamour crops…”

In poet’s experience petals are pious and crops are glamorous.

In ATTUNE WITH NATURE the poet turned to both Nature and God sees Springs spreading God’s wings of cascade.
“Springs…spreads thy wings of cascade
Reaches…ocean becomes beacon and barricade
Mentor…ye unmanifest, unknown …”

To a Mystic everything is a Manifestation of God. Beach normally brings to mind a long stretch of sand, Moving waves and a cool sea breeze. In BEACH I REACH the poet Talks of God’s “Eternal bliss Beach”.

In DRY AWRY LEAF DRY poet says,
“…Gosh! My birth may not come again!....”

it appears that either he does not believe in rebirth or he is certain that he will not have another birth. But in BLISS BUDDHA he talks about Wheels of life and Birth after Birth.

His usage of Empty Cups reminds me of Rajaneesh who used these words Very often . His usage of words such as Douse all ego! Arouse love’s Mission and Decompose desires is strikingly fresh.

In ETERNAL ELIXIR poet talks about the glory of God’s Touch. Even a dark cloud becomes charming by the divine touch.

“O murky mute bleak cloud illumine
By the Mystic touch becomes charm..”

Again and again poet’s search for the unknown echoes in His poems. In HALLOW HOLY he says,

I search thee
As a mad.. inebriate bee! ……’
Again and again he begs for God’s grace.
“..Wield thy immortal …wave…
Make ..us safe.. and save…
Our ..sojourn.. born..
Soul ..from heinous, harrow thorn…

In HONEY HOME again he prays for safety.

DIVINE YE POUR ME HONEY!
DIVINE YE SAVE ME FROM AGONY….”

This is in conformity with the belief of many devotees that by praying to God they will get protection and comfort irrespective of the effects of their Actions. This of course is in contradiction to the Theory of Cause and Effect.

Poem MY DAYS picturises the enthrailled state of a Devotee very effectively.

“…My tear drops become benison and divine
Thy glisten, glittering Aura fills all shrine.”

This is a trancelike experience which some say as the height of devotion. There are many who differ. In ODE TO NATURE he pleads to Nature to let the Lord carry him as Cloud! This is not only deeply devotional but also Highly Poetical.

In WE ARE ONE poet’s strong belief in God’s word is visible.

“Lord of Love,
I love thy word,
Pure to cure, no sword
Can scan of slain the word..”

But which one he refers to as God’s word is not obvious.

Poet’s words build up not only poetry but a mystic hallow that will be certainly enjoyed by pious persons. He skillfully employs Words that can not be easilyb substituted.

Let me conclude my review quoting from his poem THE TRUTH , the truth of which is universally acceptable.

“The words of truth
Hard to read, yet it read the world….”

I am happy to close repeating poet,s lovely words.

‘ Let us follow not the fallow
Which is truth, throught which I reach,
Full of pleasure and woe from it breach
The song of my heart is truth and hallow”

This collection of poems is a pretty bouquet of exotic and esthetic Devotional songs which is rare to expect from one young man of present generation.
