Tyler Joseph Wiseman     three poems

Proof of Life

I feel the wind tousle my hair, weaving
with minor tugs and eddies
in the particulars of autumn diurnal
It is a proof of life

. Proved again in the emptiness,
that devoid flat where she could never be,
the space vacant of her green eyes,
or long gilded strands invoking images
of ancient soil, new blood spilled,
the floods and fears and creases in time
In reminiscences of her dwell affirmation,
this too is a proof of life

. Somewhere in the mist we were broken
She, I to separate, fading in an instant
that left my fingertips pulsing in the clammy chill,
balanced to the will of limbo, a proof of life

85N, Georgia

The distant rumble of concrete,
and hum of six cylinder chassis,
18 wheeler monstrosities,
or wind on wind on steel
invites my abject horror
to meet with travails need

. Three dimensions scream down the sea
of nameless blankness in faces of eve
Blind me, bind me, fuck or free me,
break me, bleed me, receive my flesh
upon your tongue, sanguine or yellowing
Oh, sweet sorrow of escapist suffering,
should you savor the jaundiced step
beware and belate every instant
it is not the martyr's poetic death

Alania

A blue rose descends
into the graceful unknown,
where fantasia springs unbeckoned
into my minds delicate flow

Oh, oh like a restless bird
desire can taunt and bid,
an appreciative glance and word
that teeters precariously; yet pinned
to vicarious wanting and whim

I would savor the ambrosiac flavor
of sweat on her petal soft skin
while penetrating with deep deliberation
the divine in her lotus blossom...
